And It's All About...

These are my stories. From zero to, prayerfully, the more-than-conquerer I am born to be.

My Gift

*This message is based solely on my personal opinions/ interpretations.

Daddy must have arranged for this message for me, again, knowing I hardly attend any sermons these days (uhoh), I believe He saturated the OOHM-ness (meaning the essence of ALL goodness to the MAX) of a few messages into one like this. Well of course! He's mah Daddy *melts*

I am very blessed by last week's Bible Study lead by Pastor Prince. It topics the Gift of Tongues. In my simple term, we are equipped with the Gift of Tongues as the Holy Spirit in-dwells in us, when we accept Christ Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour.

I have always lacked in practising Tongues. This lack, I believe, is a psychological barrier. Every time I tried to open my mouth to utter the Heavenly language, which only Daddy understands, negative thoughts would afloat. Straying, discouraging, embarrassing thoughts like "Are you sure this is the right way?", "Are you sure this isn't just your imagination?", "You don't sound like the rest!", etc; then every time I would fall for it and stop uttering. Not long thereafter, I gave up praying in Tongues, not knowing how much I would miss. Pastor shared that these attacks in thoughts and such do happen to other believers as well, as the devil wants to stop us from using our Gift of Tongues - believers' most powerful Weapon.

Pastor then shared an experience of a fellow churchmate. As he was a beginner in praying in Tongues, he suffered not just attacks in his thoughts but also physical attacks i.e. outbreaks of ulcers on his hands! He had however persisted in his prayers and thus the ulcers subsided and he enjoyed breakthroughs! Many more thereafter I believe, praise the Lord!

Pastor shared that praying in Tongues means allowing the Holy Spirit to take over. He will pray for the things we know as well as for those we don't. He prays the perfect prayers for us. Praying in Tongues, we will not miss any thing. Hence Pastor encourages us to pray in Tongues regularly, DESPITE any attacks like straying thoughts or painful ulcers, as mentioned earlier.

In addition, it is absolutely a wrong concept that only Charismatics pray in Tongues. No. But EVERY believer, in whom the Holy Spirit in-dwells, is gifted to pray in Tongues!

After Pastor's sermon, I began to ignore those negative thoughts and started to focus in the Lord and in praying in Tongues. It was like uttering a baby language, weak and soft, but rapidly I shall grow in the Lord and become a powerful adult prayerer!

A Testimony to Share

It was 0500 hours this Monday when I was awoken by this extreme nauseousness. I rushed to the loo and puked it all out. Twice in a row. It was all seafoodish. Very gross. I thought I would feel better after the large puke, little did I know it hurt my stomach so badly. I did not remember when I fell back asleep again. Clearly two hours later, I awoken, again, this time to the stirring pain in my tummy. It was diarrhea and then I knew it was the long time food poisoning for me. I was weakened way further. Instantly weak and breathless, also dued to some old flu, phlegm and slight asthmatic problems. I felt like I could die of suffocation right on. SO I PRAYED IN TONGUES & CRIED TO "DADDY!" till I fall asleep again. Of course, before then, I had already applied for a day's off from work.

By Daddy's Grace, I strongly believe, I woke up to a better body. No more pukes or diarrhea, just much better. It gotta be Daddy! ^^

So now mates, practise!
"Isaiah 28:12, the Bible says that praying in the Spirit is the rest and the refreshing."

Glory Glory Glory to our Abba Father & Lord Christ Jesus!
