No Rush

Mid-week Bible Study with Pastor Prince
Since re-starting to read with Joshua Harris again, I knew I needed answers, or in fact, confirmations from Daddy. I knew I had to attend this sermon; hence I was at the Rock Auditorium last evening, full of expectations for His powerful confirmations, and even more.
How many know that when children of God expects,
He will not fail them?
Instead, He will lift them higher than they expect!
Instead, He will lift them higher than they expect!
Last evening's sermon was a continuation of the series on praying in the Spirit, also known to many as praying in Tongues. In midst, I remember most clearly that Pastor let out a firm and strong, "don't rush". I can't point a finger to which sentence of the sermon these two words came from, but surely they were the anointment from Daddy to me. His anointment instantaneously lifted my then heavily burdened heart. Peace rested unto me like soft, soothing waves - gentle yet powerful.
Daddy's solutions for me (and all the rest who believe, of course) are always so simple and practical. Two words from Him supply THE answer to my many questions and doubts! No wonder Jesus says "My yoke is easy, My burden is light".
"And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they (the sick) will recover." - Mark 16:17-18
For the longest time, this burning prick had stayed in the base of my foot.
My aunty's currently suffering from womb cancer, and as though that isn't enough, she's now suffering from persistant aches all over her already weakened body. These aches cause her sleepless nights and difficulties in the slightest movements. And sometimes, when the pain got her overwhelmed, we would detect a twisted bitterness in her face.
Loving her, very naturally, my heart aches the same. What's worst, is that I know that the Lord has given us believers the power to "lay hands on the sick and they will recover". Yet I didn't have the peace and courage to lay hands on her and declare healings over her. I feared that my faith wasn't strong enough to do it right. For not only do I want her healed, I want to draw her towards Daddy, I want her to know that her Healer is JESUS. And I believe that I am only given ONE attempt to do so; for there is only ONE best outcome, made possible only by total obedience to His perfect plan.
All I could do then, was to wait. I knew deep down that I would have to wait for Daddy's further instructions, for the peace that guides. Yet I wasn't all that sure. I doubted if I believed right, if waiting was the right choice, if she really could wait...

But I thank God, my Abba Daddy!
He knows the answer long before us...
"Don't rush".
He knows the answer long before us...
"Don't rush".
Pastor went on to share, quoting verses from the Bible, that praying in the Spirit should hold the first priority in our prayers, before we pray in our own words. He gave an instance about how a man of God went about healing a sick man. FIRST he prayed in the Spirit, then he laid hands on the sick man in the name of JESUS, and the man was healed.
Pastor gave another example by showing us the story of another man of God, whose friend was dead, and he was at her funeral. He stood, back-facing her, to pray in the Spirit; before he turned towards her to lay hands on her. She was ressurected from the dead after he laid hands. He didn't rush. He took his time away from the circumstance (the fact that his friend was dead), to pray in the Spirit.
For praying in the Spirit is like letting rivers of living water flow. It consistently removes defilements (uncleanness/ diseases) and brings forth LIFE! Hence as we pray in the Spirit, rivers of living water flow from our "bellies" (as the Holy Spirit dwells in us).
Then as Pastor closes with a "don't rush", I finally got the answer...
Daddy wants me to pray every so often in the Spirit, whenever and wherever. For as we pray in the Spirit, we speaketh the good works of God. In praying in the Spirit, we pray for people, things and events known or unknown/ seen or unseen; we pray PERFECT and powerful prayers that our bare words can never match up to. Praying in the Spirit will build me up and get me ready for a victorious journey ahead!

And thus I will know when I am ready to lay hands. But "don't rush".
For the rest of my questions to which He has provided THE answer, I shall share with you another day...
To ABBA DADDY & JESUS be all Glory & Praises!
To my Abba Daddy & JESUS, my love & utmost gratitude.
