Praise & Worship
By my Abba Father's superabundant grace and favour, we did it! *Hi-five!*
Bridget and I was assigned to lead the Praise & Worship session last Sunday. We're part-time teachers of Preschoolers I (compounds of children approx. 2 years old) in the Children's Ministry of New Creation Church, by the way. It was my first time and it was divine *grins* :)
The preparation was F.U.N.! Moreover, it was Bridget and my first private meeting - a new chemistry! We met on Valentine's Day to plan for the P&W session. We chose VDay simply cuz it was the only day we were both available to meet.
Since it was an ocassion anyway, I thought starting our conversation off with a related topic would be nice. Little had I expected Daddy to bless even this small, 'introductory' part of our fellowship session, and made it more than just 'nice'. Stories untold between us was amazingly unfolded. We were then led to realisation and conclusion, which cleared our doubts pertaining to the topic of dating in our lives - with whom and etc. I shan't elaborate further on this.
The world calls it 'coincidence', but I call it divine appointments.
1. Pre-planning
We discussed, based on the given list of the eight children P&W songs, the messages to preach to the kids before every song, the dance movements and the props required; as well as assignment of roles to other involving teachers. God's presence was so upon us and the discussion was so blessed, so enjoyable and so smooth, that it only took at most two hours. It has gotta be the Wisdom and favour of our Abba Father that has blessed us with such creative ideas *winks!*
"The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand."
2. Making of Props
As a believer, the favoured son of God, I believe that my Abba Father places me in the right places at the right timings, constantly adjusting me to the right positions to receive great blessings from Him. In the making of our P&W session, His light has made me see it happening - right place right time, led by the Holy Spirit - from the choosing of materials to the making of the props I was put in charge of. Praise!
I did face with some difficulties nonetheless, because the making of the pair of big hands, the pair of wands and the few pom-poms, were not as easy as I thought. But the end results were fulfilling to me. They were beautiful, reflecting the grace and creativity of God *glitters*
"For in every tribulation, He restores doubly and much more to me!"
3. Final Discussion
Our Abba Father sat there with us while we were concluding away. And of course it was fruitful, despite only taking about an hour.
I was so excited that I prayed over my props and for the whole P&W session. I prayed to my Abba Father in Jesus' name, that the props be beautiful in the eyes of the children and strong to withstand any violent treatment *haha!*; that the session be anointing and fruitful, and also that us teachers be anointed and led by the Holy Spirit. Amen!
4. Show Time!
It was cute how Bridget and I was almost trembling with bursting excitement and joy *laughs!* We held hands in prayer before the session. We prayed in Tongues and then Bridget led a prayer of understanding. Then, our Abba Father gave us strength and anointment to proceed to lead the session.
See we designed something different for the first song, which we called the attention-grabbing song *hee*. Purpose of it is to grab the children's attention and gather them. Instead of engaging the usual movements, we did 'London bridge' - where two bridges were formed by two pairs of teachers, and the children formed a line to toot-toot away through the bridges. It was really fun! I observed that the kids were more involved in action and thus more F.U.N. was imposed. I loved it! *Laughs!*
God's little princes and princesses also enjoyed shaking and playing with the pom-poms and the shakers distributed to them. They were the 'musical instruments' made specially to accompany the praise song titled 'Hallelujah!'. It was really fun too!
Even though some kids were distracted, some ran around, some were very quiet, some looked lost and others uninterested etc., I told myself not to be discouraged in any way. For I know the Lord remembers my prayer, in essence, for the session to be fruitful. See if 'fruitful' in my own definition is good enough, how much more is God's definition of 'fruitful'!
I'm very blessed and delighted that my Abba Father made me a sower of these seeds, and I know I definitely can trust in the Lord to work on these seeds and make them fruitful in the precious lives of these little ones. Hence I learn to take pride in sowing even the littlest seeds, for I know in even the littlest things I do, His majesty is within me. Praise! Praise! Praise God!
First and foremost, praise the Lord for such a fruitful session *smiles* Secondly, I'm very thankful towards our fellow teachers, who had submitted themselves to follow through our plan. I'm very thankful they were so positive, coorperative and anointed :) We had even received compliments that our props were impressive! See! Our Abba Father did not only make our props beautiful in the eyes of the children, He made them impressive to the teachers as well! Praise God!
Oh, and the props, as prayed for, did not suffer any major harm *laughs!*
Towards the end of the service, we combined service with the older preschoolers again. They played the Hillsong Kids P&W video throughout and altogether we had LOTSA FUN! *Laughs!* We sang and danced and jumped our hearts out to our praises to Him! Fell in love with Hillsong Kids P&W ever since! They've got great P&W songs and dance movements, not only for the kids, but also for the kids in us! It was fun fun FUN! ;)
Daddy, I'm in love with You *swoons*
I really really really thank my Abba Father for the divine opportunity to be a sower of these seeds. How wonderful my Abba! In serving Him, through every single step that completes this God-given assignment, I myself receive SOO many great blessings! *Ecstatic!* For it is created this way by my Abba - in every tree that comes forth from a single seed, bears MANY fruits and in each fruit bears MANY seeds. Beautiful!
Hence tell me, just HOW can we His sons not enjoy ABUNDANCE?
Woohoo! Praise God!
