Defining P.O.W.E.R. (Part I)
No word can ever fathom Your great love for me,
and my gratification for Your Sacrifice.
I love You, dear Lord. Thank You for loving me.
I was dreaming of my dream, recalling the very feel of Daddy laying His mighty hand upon me and gently proclaiming the word POWER upon me. So I meditated with an expecting heart, knowing that dear Holy Spirit will open my eyes to something new and powerful today.
Indeed as I meditated, dear Holy Spirit led me in my thoughts. "Have you ever thought, how is power defined in the Bible? If there's ever anyone who has the greatest power, ever, it gotta be JESUS!"
So I ran my thoughts through what I have been learning from the Bible, and found three accounts of three GREATEST miracles that JESUS had performed when He was in this world two thousand years ago.
1. Luke 10:17
So they all ate and were filled, and twelve baskets of the leftover fragments were taken up by them.
This speaks of prosperity and abundance.
JESUS fed five thousand men (not even counting women and children) in a day (in a single meeting). He blessed (gave thanks for) the five loaves and the two fish that was given to Him by a child, and distributed them amongst the multitude. Not only did the supply fill the multitude (it is written that the multitude could have as much as they wanted), there were twelve baskets full leftover!
This great miracle that JESUS performed pleases Daddy so much, that it is written further down the pages of the Bible that dear Holy Spirit described the same place, the place where JESUS gave thanks and fed five thousand.
And all that was accounted of what JESUS did, was to GIVE THANKS.
Activate my power to make wealth, Lord. Use me, Lord. I wanna feed multitudes as well! As Christ is, so am I in this world.
2. John 11:43
Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come forth!"
This speaks of healing and resurrection. One of the greatest miracles that JESUS had performed when He was in this world two thousand years ago. He raised Lazurus, who was then already dead for four days, from the dead.
"Father, I thank You that You have heard Me." JESUS, before raising Lazurus from the dead, gave thanks out loud to God, that people standing by around Him could hear and believe that God sent Him.
Again, all that was accounted of what JESUS did was to GIVE THANKS and CALL FORTH.
God, when He created the world, did not declare what He did not see; but called forth instead what He wanted to see. And as He called forth, it was done and it was good. Praise!
3a. Matthew 8:26 (KJV)
Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
3b. Matthew 14:25 (KJV)
And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
JESUS rebuked the storm and there was great calm. He walked on the sea. This speaks of His power and dominion over the things of this world. He is way beyond all circumstances. And so we, in Him, have the same POWER and DOMINION/ AUTHORITY.
What was JESUS doing before He rebuked the storm? He was sleeping in their boat. Storm did not wake Him, He could not care any less about the raging storm, it was the cry of His disciples that woke Him! O how beautiful His hearing heart toward us!
I have, in Christ, power and dominion over the things and circumstances of this world! As Christ is, so am I in this world! Hallelujah!
